PEACE IN THE STREETS started in 2017 with Daryle Allums Adamika Village#stopkillingourkidsmovement, a grassroot organization dedicated to stopping gun violence by sending "Credible Messengers" into hotspots in Deep East Oakland.  Adamika Village also addresses the violence of human trafficking, that is a pandemic in Oakland, and has returned over 40 young women to their families.  The average age of young women victimized by human trafficking is between 13 - 16.  These are America's children, not prostitutes or whores, that America so quickly labels so they feel comfortable turning a blind eye.  We work with like-minded organizations like MISSEY, S.H.A.D.E., Regina's Door as well as conventional agencies like the Alameda County DA's office to save young African American girls and boys.  Adamika hosts healing circles, provide funds for funerals and stages repasts and is a victim-led organization.

The Peace in the Streets Campaign is a 10 year 10 prong campaign to heal Oakland and rid her streets of violence and predators.  Utilizing an African-centered cultural basis, we reclaim our streets through spirit walkers cleansing the streets of negative energy to allow our Credible Messengers to call for Truce, mitigate beefs and find solutions.  We beautify our most neglected communities with peace messaging in collaboration with a sister organization entitled "Vision Quilt" http://www.visionquilt.org.  We encourage and provide needed resources of food, PPE, COVID-19 testing and Vaccine resources, housing vouchers, and mental and medical services to the community through our hotline and sister organization Oakland Frontline Healers.  http://www.oaklandfrontlinehealers.org
